Walmart is beating Amazon with grocery pickup

If the company decides to not more aggressively pursue click-and-collect sales, the sales gap between Walmart and Amazon could continue to grow.

Walmart is taking a large share of the $35 billion grocery pickup business while Amazon lags behind.

According to Bloomberg and a new report from Cowen & Co., Amazon’s click-and-collect business strategy needs a lot of work and it could potentially prove a costly mistake for Amazon that it hasn’t moved more quickly to get a piece of the grocery pickup action.

If the company decides to not more aggressively pursue click-and-collect sales, the sales gap between Walmart and Amazon could continue to grow since the company won’t be able to compete for consumers who desire such a purchasing method, according to the article.
