Popular actors Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard have launched Hello Bello, a plant-based line of baby products sold exclusively at Walmart stores and on the brand's website. According to Forbes, the new celebrity endorsed brand acknowledges not simply the power of life-stage shifts, such as having a baby, but of four lifestyle changes that could permanently alter how retailers merchandise in years to come.

According to Brian Pearson, the president and CEO of LoyaltyOne and author of the article, Walmart investing in a “head-to-butt-to-toe” line of safe-ingredient baby goods shows that the company is seeking a cradle-to-maturity shopper loyalty. To assure such loyalty, it has transformed its products to match new consumer demands that coincide with their lifestyle shifts.

These four lifestyle shifts include:

  1. A shift to sustainability for babies.
  2. A shift to niche brands that mean something.
  3. A shift in influencer credibility.
  4. A shift in expectations to “affordable premium.”
