VX 690 Handheld Payment Terminal

VeriFone Systems Inc. will release its first handheld, EMV-capable payment terminal, the VX 690. The system has Bluetooth, 3G radio and Wi-Fi connectivity for fast transactions and flexible payment options in a simple, handheld design similar to consumer technologies, the company said. The VX 690 is expected to be available in late 2014.
