United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) has recognized Cardinal Logistics Management Corp. for excellent service by naming it the wholesaler’s “Carrier of the Year.” Chad Brewer, VP of logistics at Providence, R.I.-based UNFI, visited Cardinal’s headquarters in Concord, N.C., to present the award, which was accepted by David Myott, director of national accounts, and Skip Stritzinger, SVP business development, on behalf of the third-party logistics provider.
Cardinal operates a dedicated refrigerated shuttle program for UNFI that provides timely deliveries of consolidated products from the wholesaler’s network of distribution centers across the country. Covering more than 6 million annual miles, the program moves temperature-sensitive products to and from 15 locations.
