TreeHouse Foods to close Omaha, Neb., office

Oak Brook, Ill.-based TreeHouse Foods will close its office in Omaha, Neb., by Jan. 31, as part of the company's previously announced multi-year restructuring program to reduce costs and simplify operations, it said in a press release.

With its primary focus on private brand products for retail grocery and food away-from-home customers, the packaged foods and beverages manufacturer said the move will affect approximately 200 employees. The location is a former unit of ConAgra Foods that Treehouse purchased in a 2015 deal. Related work will be consolidated into existing Treehouse facilities in Green Bay, Wis., and Oak Brook, Ill.

“The decision to close the Omaha office was a difficult one, and we are committed to assisting employees through this difficult transition," said Steve Oakland, president and CEO of TreeHouse Foods.
