Trader Joe's Recalls Sparkling Water

Trader Joe's has recalled its Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water over concerns of possible cracked or damaged bottles.

Trader Joe’s has issued a recall for certain lots of its Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water after its supplier notified the grocer of the potential for cracked or damaged bottles.

The lot codes included in the recall are 2024/28/11 24 2027/19/12 and 2024/271/11 24 2027/18/12.

The mineral water was sold from December 27, 2024, and January 28, 2025, in the following states; Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. 

Trader Joe’s said it had received no reports of injuries or damaged bottles. The issue was identified by research related to bottle breakage during production and potentially affects 1% of bottles in the lot codes above. 

Consumers who may have the bottles included in the recall are asked to not use them. The products can be disposed of or brought to any Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.
