Trader Joe's recalls own-brand pistachios

Trader Joe's, Monrovia, Calif., said it issued a recall for certain lots of Trader Joe's salted and unsalted dry roasted pistachios in the shell. The retailer's supplier said the 16-ounce bagged products — with "Best if Used By" date codes from Oct. 27, 2016 through November 4, 2016 — could be contaminated with salmonella.

The products were removed from store shelves, Trader Joe's said, and their sale has been suspended while the issue is investigated.
