Tractor Supply Gets Approval For Orscheln Farm and Home Acquisition

The deal includes adding 81 stores valued at about $238 million.

Tractor Supply Company has received clearance from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to close on its previously announced acquisition of Orscheln Farm and Home.

The close is anticipated to be completed on Oct. 12 and will result in Tractor Supply acquiring 81 net stores and divesting the remaining 85 stores to two buyers approved by the FTC. The net purchase price of the 81 stores acquired and retained is approximately $238 million before working capital adjustments.

According to Lawton, Tractor Supply is on track to achieve several milestones in the growth of the company, including annual revenues in excess of $14 billion, a store base of more than 2,100 locations and a workforce of 50,000.
