Topco Associates elects John Lucot vice chairman of its board of directors

Topco Associates LLC, Elk Grove Village, Ill., announced at its June board meeting that John Lucot, president and chief operating officer of Pittsburgh-based Giant Eagle Inc., was unanimously elected to serve as vice chairman of Topco's board of directors, effective immediately.

Lucot has served on Topco's board since 2012. And Giant Eagle has been a member of Topco since 1962, Topco said, with participation in several of the cooperative’s many programs, including frozen, grocery, HBC/GM, dairy/bakery, fresh meat, branded meat, produce, national brands and indirect spend.

“I’m looking forward to taking on a greater role in Topco and helping to represent its nearly 50 members," Lucot said, "as we continue to aggregate and share our collective knowledge management and innovative best practices to remain competitive in our respective marketplaces.”
