Tesco offers new incentive to buy store brands
Tesco is offering a 10% discount on store brands for loyalty program members.
Tesco is offering a 10% discount on store brands as a component of a new fee-based loyalty program called Clubcard Plus. Tesco billed the program as, "another first for a UK supermarket," with a broad range of benefits beyond the store brand discount and an annual fee of $9.83.
“New Clubcard Plus is a breakthrough innovation giving customers even more ways to get the best value while shopping at Tesco for their everyday essentials, weekly shops, mobile and banking,” said Alessandra Bellini, Tesco’s chief customer officer.
According to Tesco, the four benefits of being a Clubcard member include:
- 10% off two big shops in-store (exclusions and limits apply).
- 10% off selected Tesco brands in-store (F&F, Fred & Flo, Go Cook, Tesco Pet, Carousel, Fox & Ivy) all of the time.
- Double data from Tesco Mobile (conditions apply).
- Tesco Bank credit card with no foreign exchange fees abroad.
