Target offers exclusive Roblox avatar item with online shirt purchase

Target is offering an exclusive deal for fans of the popular online game Roblox. The online-only offer gives gamers a matching virtual t-shirt accessory when they purchase a Roblox shirt in real life from the retailer.

Target was named Retailer of the Year by Store Brands in 2021 for its private label sales growth, along with apparel collections.

Roblox is a free, online game that allows users, primarily children, to build custom avatars and interact with one another in the digital world. The game is incredibly popular, and gained steam during the pandemic, hitting 202 million users in April of 2021. The game is free on PC, Mac, iOS, Android and Xbox consoles.

The collection includes boys’, girls’, and young adults’ shirts featuring a variety of graphics and styles. The shirts, all under $15, come with a code to give the user’s avatar in Roblox a matching accessory of the shirt they purchased at Target.

After purchase, a confirmation email is sent, followed by a code to redeem the free virtual item. The 15-character code then allows the player to equip the matching t-shirt onto the avatar in the game. The limit is one per size per design per order, but multiple shirts purchased means multiple shirts available in Roblox.
