Target & Disney Launch Exclusive Little Mermaid Collection Ahead of Film
Ahead of the anticipated release of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” live-action film on May 26, Target has released an exclusive collection of products for children.
Disney’s Little Mermaid Collection is inspired by the film’s award-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood, and features items like pillows and throw blankets, a backpack, toys, the film’s soundtrack on vinyl and more, in addition to clothing and costumes.
“As a costume designer, you want to honor what had come before but create a world that was new and fresh for people,” said Atwood in a promotional video for the new collection. “Working with both Disney and Target, you’re in the hands of two amazing companies that really know how to make things happen. It’s so exciting to see the different worlds influence the designs here today."
Available only at Target, the Little Mermaid Collection is available to shop in store or online. The upcoming film is a remake of the 1989 animated classic, and stars Hallie Bailey, Melissa McCarthy, Jonah Hauer-King, Javier Bardem and more.
