With the aim of showcasing how shoppers might furnish their homes with its private home brands, Target is adding Justina Blakeney as its new home style expert. Blakeney is the founder of home décor brand Jungalow, as well as a designer, artist, entrepreneur and best-selling author.

Through the influencer partnership, Blakeney will showcase DIY tips and tricks for how to use Target’s brands in the home. The first of several expected entries on Blakeney’s blog uses Target’s Casaluna bedding brand to furnish a bedroom. Casaluna launched in July.

“I love Casaluna’s palettes, emphasis on a great night’s sleep and the natural materials used in the collection — from cotton to hemp,” Blakeney said in a Q&A on Target’s blog. “That really speaks to me, not just as a designer but as a person who is always looking for ways to fuse the worlds of design and wellness.”

Blakeney also shouted out Target’s Opalhouse décor brand, which includes textiles, glassware, candles, furniture, lighting solutions, wall décor and bath items, among others. “I love the fun, vibrant colors, the attention to detail and the use of natural materials woven into the line,” she said.
