SVB Foods has acquired Vita Specialty Foods.
Private label supplier SVB Foods has acquired Vita Specialty Foods, which offers a portfolio of food products through private labeling, licensing agreements, and its own brands.
According to SVB Foods, this strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for the company, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing its product portfolio and expanding its presence in the food industry.
"We are truly excited about the acquisition of Vita Specialty Foods,” said Terry Hess, SVB’s CEO. “This opportunity allows SVB Foods to respond more effectively to market trends and consumer preferences. Our mission is to provide quality products at a fair price and to do the right thing for our customers, our employees, and our communities."
Vita Specialty Foods includes its wholly owned subsidiaries of Virginia Honey Company and The Halifax Group (Oak Hill Farms). The acquisition will facilitate a seamless integration that ensures the continuity for existing product lines, company officials said. Virginia Brand will continue as a trusted brand of honey and salad dressings.
Oak Hill Farms will continue to offer a line of dressings, dips, and marinades, providing consumers with a range of flavor options for their meals. Additionally, the acquisition enables SVB Foods to expand its private labeling and licensing programs.
With its headquarters located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, SVB Foods’ 70,000 square-foot food manufacturing facility features multiple production lines and various capabilities for packing sauces in rigid or flexible packaging.
