Store Brands Flash: A new texting service keeping you up on the latest headlines

Sign up here for the insider's way to stay connected with the private label industry

Store Brands has launched Store Brands Flash, a new service that will provide breaking news and top headlines from the world of private label.

In addition to helping you stay connected with important insights about the private label retail marketplace, the new services also allows for two-way conversations with our audience.

We’ve partnered with Subtext that works with news organizations such as The New York Times and the Washington Post to make these easy, valuable, and privacy-safe conversations.

You probably have questions about how this works …

What are you going to text about?

The important and interesting things happening in private label. Texts will be sent by Store Brands Executive Editor Greg Sleter and will feature breaking news and major headlines from the industry. We’ll also share info about things we hear at events and from industry insiders — and behind-the-scenes things we’re working on.

I already get your newsletter. Is it the same?

No. Not only will Greg text about Store Brands news, but he’ll also share insights from others in the private label community and share sneak peeks on things we're working on.

Will other people see my number?

No. Your responses go to just us. Greg might respond to you 1:1, or he may paraphrase things others text back to the group, but that will come from our number. We’ll never share identifying details without you first receiving your approval.

Is my phone going to start buzzing 100 times a day?

Absolutely not! Greg will text you periodically throughout the month as big news happens. Our goal is to ensure you’re up on the latest news without being annoyed by a barrage of text messages.

What if I sign up and then change my mind?

Just text STOP, and we’ll stop. We’re listening very carefully to how people respond, so send us all the feedback, all the time.

I already have your number. Can’t I just text you there?

Unfortunately, no.
