Stop & Shop Launches New Private Label Summer Products
As the calendar turned to July and shoppers in the Northeast enjoy the summer season, Stop & Shop has launched two new private-label products designed for warm-weather gatherings.
The Quincy, Massachusetts-based retailer is now offering its Taste of Inspirations Thai Coconut Curry Hummus and a Shirley Temple-Inspired Soda. Both products are available at all 360 Stop & Shop locations across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, while supplies last.
Priced at $3.99, Taste of Inspirations Thai Coconut Curry Hummus is infused with Thai curry and smooth coconut, combining creamy chickpeas with sweet and spicy flavors. The hummus can be paired with pita chips and fresh, crunchy vegetables.
Taste of Inspirations is marketed by Stop & Shop as a premium, private-label brand with products in a host of categories ranging from hummus and pasta sauces to frozen appetizers for easy entertaining.
Also new is the grocer’s Shirley Temple-Inspired Soda. The bubbly, cherry-forward soda is touted as a modern twist on the mocktail and is priced at $1 for a 2-liter bottle.
The idea for the soda was derived from Eddie Attubato, beverage category manager for Stop & Shop. “It’s my favorite drink and I make them at home all the time,” he said. “I figured, why not try and share them with everyone?”
“We are always looking for ways to deliver unique, flavor-forward products at a strong value with our private-label brands, and the Thai Coconut Curry Hummus and Shirley Temple-Inspired Soda are perfect examples of that,” said Lee Nicholson, executive vice president, chief merchant at Stop & Shop. “They are bold, different and delicious, and bring something really unique to our shelves for our shoppers.”
