As Sprouts Farmers Market continues expanding in key markets across the U.S., the location of its first New York Store has been revealed.

According to Newsday, the Phoenix, Ariz.-based grocery will open its initial Empire State Store in Centereach on Long Island. The new location is scheduled to open in 2026.

The new Sprouts will be located in a former L.A. Fitness space at 1934 Middle Country Road and occupy 24,000 square feet of the 43,000-square foot space.

The grocer currently operates stores in 24 states with a larger number of locations in California (151), Florida (55), Texas (54), and Arizona (47). The company more recently expanded into the northeast with new stores in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

In 2024, Sprouts opened 33 new stores and has plans to open 35 new stores in 2025. Company officials previously said this year’s new store openings will be located in its existing markets to create density in its existing footprint.
