Sprouts Farmers Markets is planning to open 13 new stores in six states.

Phoenix-based Sprouts Farmers Markets is planning to open 13 new stores in six states during the second half of 2019. By the end of the year it expects to have 340 supermarkets in 22 states.

The organic foods grocer has already opened three of the 13 in Trinity, Fla., in West Hollywood, Calif., and in Greensboro, N.C.

The company’s new 30,000-square-foot Trinity location includes an abundant selection of fresh produce at the center of the store, as well as a Market Corner Deli, which features a detached, rectangular island with offerings such as made-to-order sandwiches, a salad bar, prepared foods, sushi made in-store and fresh juice.

Sprouts’ latest 25,000-square-foot West Hollywood location emphasizes the company’s commitment to zero waste, as the retailer will donate unsold and edible groceries to Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
