Sprouts Farmers Market is expanding its footprint in the northeastern U.S. with new stores in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

In the Keystone State, the Phoenix-based grocer will open its seventh Pennsylvania store north of Philadelphia on July 25 at 751 Horsham Rd. in Montgomeryville. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. To supply the store with fresh produce, Sprouts works with local Pennsylvania farmers such as Harnish Farms, Frecon Farms, and Lady Moon Farms, among others.

On Aug. 1, Sprouts will celebrate the grand opening of its eighth store in Maryland with its newest location at 3000 Festival Way in Waldorf. The store will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Additionally, Sprouts is holding hiring events for several other new store openings in the coming weeks, including:

  • Aug. 22: Charlotte, North Carolina, at 110 E. 36th Street
  • Aug. 29: Knoxville, Tennessee, at 9622 Kingston Pike
  • Sept. 5: Carson City, Nevada, at 3193 Market Street
  • Sept. 12: Providence Village, Texas, at 800 Main Street

The forthcoming new Sprouts stores join recent new store openings in Ocala, Florida; Pittsburgh, California; and Woodbury, New Jersey.

Earlier this year, Sprouts CEO Jack Sinclair discussed the grocer's expansion plans at the annual PLMA Leadership Conference. In addition to the company's continued expansion in the Northeast, he said the company is exploring opportunities in Connecticut and up through Boston, along with growth in the Midwest, including Chicago.
