As it gets its new fiscal year underway, Sprouts Farmers Market is bolstering its lineup of private label products, adding several products across multiple categories, including plant-based meat. The company said the new products are responding to pandemic-driven consumer trends, including more natural wellness products, plant-based products, keto and paleo diet needs and more.

“Throughout the pandemic, demand and sales for organic foods, grass-fed meat and dairy, and supplements have all increased. We expect this trend to continue through next year,” said Jack Sinclair, CEO of Sprouts.

Among the new products are its Sprouts Brand plant-based patties, which are made with mushrooms. The Sprouts Brand also is adding White Chocolate Dipped Coconut Rolls with Cinnamon, as well as keto- and paleo-friendly Avocado Oil Dressings in green goddess, ranch and Hatch ranch flavors. Also new is the Sprouts Elderberry Vitamin C Fizzy Drink Packet and the Sprouts Holiday Hand Sanitizer in sugar plum and peppermint twist scents.

“Innovation is moving us forward, and in 2020, Sprouts launched more than 3,500 new and unique products focused purely on innovation and taste,” Sinclair said. “These qualities, combined with differentiated plant-based, keto and private-label items target the Sprouts shopper who is enthusiastic about new, healthy products.”

Pat of driving innovation also is about enhancing the in-store experience, Sinclair said. “We believe the vast majority of consumers will want to visit a store to shop for some or all of their groceries because, in a store like Sprouts, it’s a great experience.  It’s an easy in and out, and shoppers get to do a bit of treasure hunting while they explore the store.”
