Keasbey, N.J.-based ShopRite has plans to open a new “state-of-the-art” store concept that will offer full service features to shoppers.
According to a news release, the store is supposed to open in Cromwell, Conn., on May 18, will be 67,000-square-feet and is supposed to include a community room and culinary center for cooking classes, a registered on-site dietitian to provide nutrition counseling and the company’s grocery pick-up and delivery e-commerce services.
The store will also feature prepared food stations, which has grown in popularity throughout many grocery store concepts nationwide. This section of the store will include custom salads and other dishes from in-store dining spots such as the Grill, Sizzling Wok and Sushi, House Smoked BBQ, Go Bowl and Natural Foods. The store will also have an extensive array of organic, local and gluten-free foods.
