The new store will feature an array of hot foods.

Sedano’s Supermarkets is highlighting an expansive store-branded hot food station and sandwich bar in its newest location in Hialeah, Fla., where the independent Hispanic grocer was founded in 1962. The 35,000-square-foot store, Sedano’s 35th overall, is also its 10th location in Hialeah. The store, which opens Wednesday, also includes Sedano’s new look and décor.

The first 200 customers during the store’s grand reopening will receive a complimentary reusable branded grocery bag with a Sedano’s gift card ranging between $5 and $200. Other festivities during the week-long opening celebration will also be held, including live cooking demonstrations.

Founded by the Herrán and Guerra families, Sedano’s serves Florida’s booming multicultural communities, with more than 3,000 employees and stores in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Orange and Osceola counties. Sedano’s is recognized for its ethnic product offerings, among other things.

The number of Hispanics in the U.S. is expected to grow from 49 million in 2010 to 62.3 million in 2020, with two-thirds of them having been born in the U.S.
