Sam's Club has officially rolled out “Ask Sam" technology.

Bentonville, Ark.-based Sam’s Club is adding innovative technology to help its associates improve the member shopping experience.

The company announced that it has officially rolled out “Ask Sam,” a voice responsive app that acts as a digital assistant when associates ask questions on their mobile device. This app is now available to all associates in the chain’s nearly 600 clubs nationwide. Associates can “Ask Sam” anything about the club – just like they would on their own phone.

Since its initial launch in March, associates have asked and answered 1.5 million questions. According to the company, questions can range from asking about work schedules to recipes for home meal solutions and item location and availability. The more questions you “Ask Sam” the better its responses will get, the company said.

Sam’s Club engineers developed the app so associates could find the answers they need quickly and easily, the company said. All they need to do is simply speak or type their question into Ask Sam.
