Salad-ready tomato wedges come in light juice
Available for private branding by Lodi, Calif.-based Pacific Coast Producers, California Salad Ready Tomatoes come in a can with a “light topping juice” of water, olive oil and Italian spices. The tomatoes have a firm texture and fresh vine-ripened flavor “for always in-season freshness,” according to the manufacturer. The product is designed to be used in salad in place of raw tomatoes, while the liquid, once it’s drained from the product, can be used as a salad dressing.
