Sahlen recalls private label ham

The ready-to-eat, 97 percent fat-free Black Forest ham was sold under the name Market 32 by Price Chopper.

Sahlen Packing Co. has recalled its private label deli ham because it may contain plastic, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The ready-to-eat, 97 percent fat-free Black Forest ham was sold under the name Market 32 by Price Chopper. It was produced on Jan. 25 and has a sell-by date of April 8. The label bears the marking "Est. 5155" inside the USDA mark of inspection. It was shipped to Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Vermont and New York for slicing and sale at retail deli counters.

No confirmed injuries or illnesses have been reported.
