Rite Aid Names New Chief Merchant

Bryant Harris is the new chief merchant at Rite Aid.

Rite Aid has a new chief merchant as Bryant Harris has joined the company as its senior vice president and chief merchandising officer. 

He will oversee assortment, procurement, pricing, visual merchandising, and store design, and work closely with store operations and marketing teams to deliver customer-centric shopping experiences.

“As we continue to strengthen our business and accelerate our transformation plan, we are pleased to welcome Bryant to Rite Aid,” said Matt Schroeder, chief executive officer. “As an accomplished leader driven by excellence, Bryant will be a great addition to the team to help further our mission to provide thoughtful, personalized experiences that support our customers’ health and wellness goals.”

Harris will become a member of the company’s executive leadership team, reporting to Schroeder. Before joining Rite Aid, he served as chief merchandising officer at Wakefern Food Corporation, where he developed and executed a strategic roadmap that significantly enhanced the company’s merchandising effectiveness and overall performance. Harris brings nearly two decades of retail experience driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence with notable leadership roles at Save A Lot and Sam’s Club.
