Retailers show strong interest in organic, natural product development
Retailer and wholesaler respondents to Store Brands' 2016 State of the Industry Study indicated they are actively pursuing a number of current trends when it comes to the development of private brand products. Organic topped the list of trends they said they are pursuing, followed closely by all natural or natural. Rounding out the top five are gluten-free, better-for-you and non-GMO.
