Report: Kmarts will close because of declining sales

Sears Holding Corp., parent company of Kmart, plans to close 30 Kmart stores because of declining sales, according to a report at Business Insider. The parent company also plans to close 17 Sears stores.

Citing store employees, Business Insider reported that most of the closing locations will begin liquidation sales in January and shut their doors permanently by April. Many of the Kmart stores are located in Florida.

Kmart’s private brands include its Smart Sense line of groceries, household, health and beauty products.
