Publix has honored 12 employees with its George W. Jenkins Award and President's Award.
Publix has unveiled the recipients of the 2024 George W. Jenkins Award and the 2024 President’s Award. All employees with the grocer were honored at the company’s annual Retail Operations Conference in Orlando.
“It’s an honor to recognize and work alongside these incredible Publix leaders,” said Kevin Murphy, CEO of Publix. “They embody our culture and live the lessons of our founder each and every day for our associates and customers.”
The George W. Jenkins Award is named after Publix’s founder. This award's recipients exemplify leadership, perpetuating the Publix culture and demonstrating commitment to his ideals.
The 2024 recipients are:
- Atlanta Division: District Manager Kayla Dean, Flowery Branch, Ga.
- Charlotte Division: Store Manager Dan Ratchup, Cookeville, Tenn.
- Jacksonville Division: Store Manager Jason Parrish, Ocala, Fla.
- Lakeland Division: Store Manager Steve Ellis, Tampa, Fla.
- Miami Division: Store Manager James Gooze, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
- Support: Director of Emerging Business & Private Brands Karen Hall, Lakeland, Fla.
The President’s Award recipients are committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. They are also role models to others by demonstrating exemplary leadership.
