Independent grocers that want to get noticed for their innovative ideas and how they truly serve their shopper communities are being summoned to nominate themselves for a 2019 Progressive Grocer Outstanding Independents Award.
Progressive Grocer is a partner magazine to Store Brands, under the same company EnsembleIQ. Both magazines cover the best in grocery and in this case Progressive Grocer aims to recognize the brightest in independents.
All nominations are due Dec. 13. Click here to submit.
Those grocers deemed independent can be considered in the categories of best single- or multistore operator, as well as be recognized for top achievement in meat, deli, bakery and other store categories, technology, sustainability and community outreach.
“Independent grocery retailers are among the most savvy businesses, the most involved in their communities and the most aware of their shoppers’ wants and needs,” said Jim Dudlicek, editorial director of Progressive Grocer. “Our awards recognize grocers that are the most in-touch with their consumers and deliver an experience that fulfills their needs.”
