Private Label Frozen Organic Strawberries Recalled in Several States

The recall is due to a Hepatitis A outbreak and includes private label products from Costco, Aldi, Trader Joe's and more.

Several frozen organic strawberry products are being recalled by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), including private label offerings from major retailers in select states.

The impacted items are being recalled following a Hepatitis A outbreak linked to certain farms in Baja California, Mexico. According to the FDA, California Splendor supplied recalled products to Costco stores in Los Angeles, Calif. and Hawaii, and to two San Diego, Calif. business centers. Scenic Fruit supplied recalled products to Costco, Aldi, KeHE, Vital Choice Seafood and PCC Community Markets in specific states, and to Trader Joe’s nationwide. 

The investigation is ongoing. Consumers who have symptoms should contact their health care provider to report their symptoms and receive care.
