A salmonella outbreak across nine states is being linked to pre-cut melons, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
At least 93 people have been affected by the outbreak from Indianapolis-based produce company Caito Foods. Pre-cut melons have also been recalled by other grocers like Kroger and Whole Foods just as a precautionary effort.
According to the CDC, 23 people have been hospitalized with no deaths reported. The states affected are Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin.
