Pottery Barn in July will launch a new home collection from Michael Graves Design.
Pottery Barn later this summer will launch what the retailer is calling a new assortment of accessible home furnishings developed in collaboration with Michael Graves Design.
Scheduled to hit stores in July, the initial assortment will feature an assortment of bedroom furnishings and upholstery pieces designed to make life at home safer and more accessible.
According to the retailer, the new collaboration expands on Pottery Barn’s commitment to provide functional, beautiful and accessible products. The approach to the products featured in the Michael Graves Design for Pottery Barn collection is inspired by the legacy of Michael Graves, who was celebrated for his commitment to Design for All.
The partnership aims to redefine the notion of accessible lifestyle furniture, appealing to a broad audience by integrating novel, functional enhancements that put safety first. The collaboration will consist of collections designed to serve a variety of communities, from those aging in place, to individuals with permanent, situational, or temporary disabilities, without sacrificing beautiful design.
The Graves/Pottery Barn collaboration is not the first time the design house has worked with a retailer to bring to market design-forward, function items focused on mobility and accessibility.
Michael Graves Design works with CVS Health to bring to market a collection of thoughtfully designed adaptive products that are said to deliver superior comfort, style, and performance.
This collection that includes bathroom and mobility products is part of what CVS said is its decade long vision of elevating the quality and dignity that consumers can now expect within the home healthcare category.
Among the products in the exclusive CVS/Michael Graves line are a convertible show chair & stool, 3-in-1 comfort commode, raised toilet seat and easy fold travel walker.
