A month after bringing its Canadian stores to the platform, PetSmart is expanding its partnership with Instacart by offering same-day delivery from nearly 1,500 PetSmart stores across the United States.
Customers will now be able to order food, treats, toys, accessories and more, including from the retailer’s private brands, in as fast as an hour via Instacart. PetSmart shoppers will also be able to use Instacart’s Big & Bulky fulfillment solution for larger items.
The delivery expansion follows the pet retailer’s arrival onto Uber Eats last month.
"At PetSmart, we exceed pet parent needs and expectations by giving them more convenient options to shop with us," said Cherise Ordlock, SVP of Digital at PetSmart. "By expanding our Instacart partnership into the U.S., we are further enhancing our unrivaled shopping experience, providing even more convenience and accessibility to help pet parents quickly get products and solutions for pets of all species."
PetSmart operates approximately 1,660 pet stores in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, as well as more than 200 in-store PetSmart PetsHotel dog and cat boarding facilities.
