Neptune Wellness Solutions set to ship hand sanitizer

Salazar

Health-and-wellness product maker Neptune Wellness Solutions and it subsidiary Biodroga are moving quickly into the hand sanitizer space. The Laval, Quebec-based company has accelerated production of hand sanitizer to more than 1 million units on a weekly basis.

The company’s sanitizers, which are available with Neptune branding or as white and private label offerings, are sold in 2-, 4-, 6-, 8-, and 16-oz. sizes, as well as liter and gallon bottles. The company said it has scaled up its sanitizer production in order to increase supply and meet market demand driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. The company will begin shipping in late April to its North American retail and government customers, including a large North American retailer.

"I could not be more proud of how our entire team has mobilized to leverage our collective expertise in procurement, manufacturing, product innovation, supply chain management and regulatory affairs to bring significant and continuous supply of hand sanitizer gel to market ahead of schedule during this critical stage in the battle against COVID-19," said Michael Cammarata, CEO of Neptune Wellness Solutions.  "We are rapidly responding to the needs of North Americans and playing a key role in meeting customer demand for safe and effective hand sanitizer to help prevent the spread of germs and protect consumer health."
