Microwave-ready potatoes

Alsum Farms & Produce now offers retailers a new line of microwaveready potatoes for private labeling. The potatoes come in a 12-oz. prepackaged steam tray with flavored seasoning and olive oil packets. The fresh baby red creamers and fingerlings are triple-washed and ready to cook. The potatoes are available in Parmesan & Garlic, Gourmet Garlic & Paprika and Fiesta flavors and are fully cooked after six minutes in the microwave. The high-graphic sleeve is made from 100 percent recycled paperboard and uses 35 percent post-consumer content to protect the potatoes from light to prevent greening when on the store shelf or in the home pantry. In addition, the ready-to-serve container can be recycled.
