Meijer recalls private brand cookies

Approximately 720 packages of cookies were sold between Feb. 13 and Feb. 20 in all Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Meijer has issued a voluntary recall of its private brand Ultimate Chocolate Mint Chip Cookies because the soy ingredient is not properly declared on the label. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products, according to the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer.

Approximately 720 packages of cookies were sold between Feb. 13 and Feb. 20 in all Meijer stores in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

There have been no illnesses, injuries or additional product concerns reported.
