“I am delighted to be joining Maesa, a truly innovative company in the beauty space, to work with the team to take Maesa into the next phase of its growth as a global brand incubator,” Pieraccioni said. “Maesa’s position as a high growth partner to the global beauty industry, its balance of creativity and commercial drive, as well as the presence it has in both North America and EMEA, are what drew me to the Company. I very much look forward to leading this business as well as the top-notch team that has made it grow so fast under Julien’s watch.”

Pieraccioni joins Maesa with nearly four decades of experience in the CPG and beauty industries. He joins Maesa from Coty, where he served as executive vice president and president of Europe, the Middle East and Asia; luxury; and consumer beauty. His other prior leadership experience includes time spent at Revlon, Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson

“This is a natural next step for Maesa’s development and now is the right time for me professionally and personally to envision a new role within the company,” Saada said. “We are very excited that we are able to attract such a high-caliber leader to Maesa. I look forward to working with the team on transitioning day to day responsibilities to Gianni and will then continue my relationship with Maesa as chairman and chief strategy officer.”

The company noted that Maesa’s focus is as a provider of beauty brand incubation and strategic outsourcing. It houses vertically integrated marketing, design, engineering, product development and operations businesses, developing differentiated beauty brands, including Kristin Ess, Flower Beauty, Hairitage and TPH by Taraji. It also has partnered with leading retailers — including Dollar General, Walmart, Boots, CVS Pharmacy and Ulta Beauty.
