Macy's Names New Creative & Production VP

Jason Holzman joins the department store from NBCUniversal and will oversee several teams tied to creative and marketing.

Jason Holzman has joined Macy's after working at NBCUniversal for several years.

Macy’s has named Jason Holzman as the company’s senior vice president of Creative and Production. He will oversee the Creative (Design & Copy), Photo Studio, and Marketing Operations teams and report to Sharon Otterman, chief marketing officer.

Holzman was most recently at NBCUniversal, where he held the role of senior vice president and head of Creative for Peacock. He also led teams at NBCU responsible for the creative marketing of linear networks including USA and SYFY, as well as UCP, one of the company’s content production studios. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), where he taught advertising.

“Jason brings a wealth of creative experience from consumer advertising, as well as the media and entertainment industries, and has a proven track record of innovative storytelling,” said Otterman. “Macy’s has a rich history of celebrating moments big and small, and we’ve added a strong storyteller to continue to tell our story. I’m excited for us to continue adding talented creative professionals to our world-class marketing organization.” 

Prior to his nearly 17-year tenure at NBCUniversal, Holzman served as creative director at Euro RSCG. He also held creative roles at BBDO and Ammirati & Puris, and recently co-authored a graphic novel to be published by Humanoids, the multi-national publishing house.
