Lululemon launches ‘athleisure-care’

The retailer, famous for launching the “athleisure” trend, is offering a new four-SKU Lululemon Selfcare line.

Lululemon is looking to take self care to a new “athleisurely” level by entering the personal care category.

The retailer, famous for launching the “athleisure” trend, is offering a new four-SKU Lululemon Selfcare line of dual-gender personal care products that are available via Sephora as well as its own website and select Lululemon stores and partner stores.

The personal care range includes a dry shampoo, deodorant, face moisturizer and a lip balm, with gym- and travel-size options available for each product.

“Over the years, we’ve heard the feedback that transitioning from sweat to life isn’t always easy,” said Sun Choe, chief product officer for Lululemon. “Lululemon has always been in the work of creating solutions for sweaty problems and our Selfcare line is an extension of that approach. Like our apparel, Lululemon Selfcare has been designed with function at its core and created to support guests pre- and post-workout.”

The beauty range has been granted the Clean at Sephora seal, certifying that the products are free of ingredients such as sulfates, parabens and phthalates.
