Private label product supplier Luker Chocolate is unveiling a series of new products that offer retailers the opportunity to offer shoppers items that provide enhanced health benefits.

Among the new items is the company’s Protein Chocolate, which is 44% dark chocolate formulated with pea protein that contains 5 grams of protein in a 25 gram serving of chocolate. Also, the company’s Dairy-Free Oat M!lk Chocolate is a new twist on the company’s current chocolate offerings made without dairy.

Additionally, Luker’s Organic Chocolate features organic cocoa sourced from areas where the company implements its The Chocolate Dream sustainability plan. This includes focusing on healthy cocoa grown without relying on chemical inputs. Luker’s organic dark chocolate is now available in 72%, 70%, 58%, and 54%.

All new products from Luker will be on display at the company’s booth at Natural Products Expo West, which kicks off March 12 in Anaheim, Calif.

“Luker has been built on human connection, sustainability, and innovation as evidenced by the new offerings,” said Camilo Romero, CEO at Luker Chocolate. “We are excited to be on the show floor to more deeply connect with fellow industry changemakers and product pioneers. We look forward to seeing 2024 unfold and remain committed to the goal of helping all stakeholders in cocoa production to work towards more profitable cocoa farms and more sustainable production methods.”

The company also announced it would reveal in March findings from its sustainability report. While that information is forthcoming, it did reveal some new sustainability goals. They include:

  • Luker plans to increase 1,500 cocoa farmers’ income by 20% by 2027 and improve the social well-being and quality of life for 5,000 families by that time as well
  • The company is encouraging environmentally positive practices across yf9,000 hectares of land with a keen focus on sustainability, biodiversity enhancement, water conservation, and forest protection by 2027.
  • Working toward its Net Zero goal, Luker has a goal of reducing carbon emissions by 28% when compared to Luker’s baseline year of 2021.
