Married chefs Trish and Bo Sharon founded Lucky’s Market in 2003.
Lucky’s Market, which entered into a strategic partnership with Cincinnati-based The Kroger Co. two years ago, has made clear its plans for rapid expansion. The Boulder, Colo.-based natural and organic supermarket chain, which has a variety of private brand packaged products marked with the company’s “L” logo, said that its store count could surpass 40 by the end of 2018, an increase of more than 40 percent.
The retailer, which currently has 28 stores in 11 states, said that it has signed as many as 20 leases for new stores in Florida, Colorado, Montana and Ohio. The vast majority of these openings will be in Florida.
