Located in the Paxton Towne Center at 5125 Jonestown Road, a grand opening celebration will be held on June 12. The store will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and its retail neighbors include Target and Costco.

The Harrisburg store will expand Lidl’s presence in the Susquehanna Valley and join current locations in York and Lancaster.

“At Lidl, we are committed to bringing fresh, high-quality food to communities at affordable prices,” said Or Raitses, senior director of Real Estate for Lidl’s North Region. “We are excited to open our doors in Harrisburg and look forward to serving customers in the area.”

During the grand opening event, the first 100 customers in line before the store opens at 8 a.m. will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers will also be able to sample Lidl’s award-winning assortment and take advantage of special giveaways.

As part of its commitment to support the community, Lidl will donate to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which aids families in the Central Pennsylvania area, including Dauphin County. Lidl will donate $1 to the organization for each shopper who signs up for the myLidl app and sets Harrisburg as their store throughout opening weekend.
