LiDestri Food & Beverage announces leadership transition

Giovanni LiDestri, president and CEO of Fairport, N.Y.-based LiDestri Food & Beverage, a supplier of private brand products, said he will be transferring responsibilities for day-to-day company operations to sibling team Stefani and John C. LiDestri, who will serve as co-presidents under his active direction. Giovanni will continue to serve as CEO for the foreseeable future.

“As we approach the 42nd year of our company and I celebrate my 70th birthday in July, I am very grateful the company I have been privileged to help build will remain not only in the hands of family, but in the hands of two very experienced professionals who share the passion, values and vision that has guided our company since its inception," Giovanni LiDestri said.

Following the transition, Stefani LiDestri will assume responsibility for marketing, human resources, information technology and research & development, while John LiDestri will oversee supply chain and sales, and will continue as a partner with Ridgewood, N.J.-based National Food Trading Corp. Giovanni LiDestri will continue to lead operations and finance.

“I am excited about the synergies this new role will bring for LiDestri and our customers," John LiDestri said. "I am confident both companies will benefit from the change.”

Stefani LiDestri said she is "thrilled" that the three of them will be working as a team.
