Kroger, Wegmans recall store brand sunflower seeds

Both The Kroger Co., Cincinnati, and Rochester, N.Y.-based Wegmans Food Markets said they are recalling store brand sunflower seeds and store brand products using sunflower seeds because the seeds could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Kroger recalled its Kroger Sunflower Salad Toppers, Kroger Sunflower Kernels, Kroger Cranberry Delight Trail Mix, Kroger Broccoli Raisin Salad, Deli Broccoli Cranberry Salad (Smith's stores only) and Superfood Salad (Smith's and Fry's stores only).

Wegmans is recalling approximately 32,000 pounds of various bulk products and 7,700 units of prepackaged products. The bulk products recalled include Fitness Mix, Yogurt Fruit & Nut Mix, Cranberry Sunshine, Roasted Sunflower Seeds with Salt and Roasted Sunflower Seeds, no salt. The recalled prepackaged products include Wegmans Cranberry Sunshine and Wegmans Fitness Mix.
