Kroger commits to a 100 percent cage-free future for its egg supply

According to an article in the Courier-Journal (Louisville, Ky.), The Kroger Co., Cincinnati, said it will ensure 100 percent of the eggs it sells nationwide come from cage-free chickens by 2025. Kroger operates more than 3,400 supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide under two dozen local banner names, including Kroger, Harris Teeter, Ralphs, City Market, Dillons and others.
