Kroger Acquires Land In Growing Dallas Suburb

The grocer will construct a new store in Little Elm, Texas, which is seeing rapid retail development that includes supermarkets and mass merchants.

Kroger has acquired land in Little Elm, Tex., and will be expanding its store count in Northeast Texas.

Kroger has acquired 14 acres of land in Little Elm, Tex., which will allow the grocer to grow is presence in the expanding community located north of Dallas.

The site at US 380 and FM 2931, will place the grocer’s new store adjacent to the yet-to-be constructed 225,000-square-foot Target-achored Bates Towne Crossing. Additionally, Aldi has a store in the area and the popular Texas grocer H-E-B has a store five miles to the east. Walmart also has a supercenter about one mile to the west and a Sprouts Farmers Market store is also planned for the area.

Additionally, H-E-B owns the land directly west of the future Target store but has not released timing for developing the land.

Kroger is no stranger to the region in Northeastern Texas currently operating approximately 20 stores to the east and west of Lewisville Lake.
