Jana Partners nominates two to TreeHouse board
Jana Partners has nominated two new members to the TreeHouse board of directors, according to Reuters. The private label packaged food company previously appointed two new members to its board, John Gainor and Tenneth Tuchman, in March of 2021.
In a regulatory filing on Thursday, Jana Partners nominated Chris Sliva and Wendy Beck to the TreeHouse board of directors, per the story. Sliva was the chief executive officer of AdvancePierre Foods, which was acquired by Tyson Foods in 2017. Beck has held executive roles at Domino's Pizza and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
The nominations come following news that TreeHouse may potentially sell the company, after the board of directors approved a plan to “explore strategic alternatives, including a possible sale of the company.”
Jana Partners owns a 9% stake in TreeHouse. The full article from Reuters can be found here.
