Hy-Vee’s new office space designed to promote creativity, collaboration

By Store Brands - 08/18/2017

West Des Moines, Iowa-based Hy-Vee Inc., a grocery chain with 16 store brands, has opened a new 104,000-square-foot brand marketing and digital development space in Grimes, Iowa, that incorporates features from leading technology firms’ offices.

The space is designed “to promote collaboration and creativity” and represents Hy-Vee’s vision for the future, reported an article posted Aug. 17 on DesMoinesRegister.com, which also includes 45 images of the converted warehouse.

Among other things, the building includes click-and-collect lockers for online-ordered meals and groceries, a food truck, a walking track, billiard and ping pong tables, a video game area and a collaboration space that replicates the main set from “The Big Bang Theory” with couches and bookshelves displaying action figures.
