At Home To Close 26 Stores
Just days after home furnishings retailer At Home filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the identities of 26 stores slated for closure have been revealed.
Hilco Consumer, which is working with the retailer to facilitate store closures, highlighted going-out-of-business sales at select stores in a press release. Products are being offered at discounts of up to 30%.
"Shoppers can expect truly incredible savings on a massive inventory of home furnishings and decor," a Hilco spokesperson said. "From wall art and rugs to patio furniture and kitchen essentials, everything must go, and prices have been reduced across the board."
Those locations include:
- California: Chico, Costa Mesa, Foothill Ranch, Long Beach, Pasadena, Sacramento, San Jose, and Tustin
- Florida: North Miami
- Illinois: Crestwood, Peoria
- Massachusetts: Dedham, Shrewsbury
- Minnesota: Rochester
- Montana: Billings
- New Jersey: Ledgewood, Middletown Township, Princeton
- New York: Bronx, Rego Park
- Pennsylvania: Pittsburgh, Leesburg
- Virginia: Leesburg, Manassas
- Washington: Bellingham, Yakima
- Wisconsin: Wauwatosa
On Monday, June 16, At Home filed for bankruptcy and announced it was entering a restructuring agreement with lenders holding nearly all of its debt. As of its filing, the retailer had 260 stores across 40 states.
According to the company, the prearranged financial restructuring will eliminate substantially all of its nearly $2 billion in funded debt and provide a $200 million capital infusion. This will support At Home through its restructuring process and beyond.
